Becoming A Teenager :)

Being a teenager has been great so far. Becoming a teenager has been a really fast experience it feels like just yesterday I was starting grade 8 and now I'm in grade 10 two years away from graduation like wow it's all happening so fast. Since I have started high school i'ts been like a whole new chapter in my life because going from elementary school to high school is a whole new concept to get used to for me it was a little challenging because all my friends went to a different school so I had to make new friends and then also get used to the way high school works.The two subjects that have always been a struggle for me personally are math and science and the subjects that I like and understand more are english and social studies. The best part of school for me is lunch time because I get to hang out with all my friends and the worst part of high school would be that you have to keep up with all the subjects and you have to focus a lot on studying so you have less time to hang out with friends.I really like being at school because you learn new things, meet new people and you learn to adjust to new things like on how to use a locker and get to classes in time like when and then when it comes to making friends I only have a have a couple of close friends who have supported and encouraged me whenever I need it. I'm also so great ful I have such nice, chill, and understanding parents that I can tell anything to they have been with me through thick and thin and I'm so happy to have such great parents in my life. Currently I don't have a job but I am thinking of applying at different places because I want to start working to earn money for my own expenses. There's so many good things when you become a teenager but there's also bad things too like for example you go though so much friendship drama and then when you go through your hard times in school you find out who your true friends are because some people just use you to get their work done then they act like they never knew you and throw you out of there lives like trash you have to learn that there will be people who put you down but you just need to have the strength and courage to stand up for yourself because if you don't then people will always put you down because they'll know your not going to fight back. Honestly there will be drama, problems, happy and sad times when you become a teenager that being said you should just live your life and not care about what others think about you because your not in this world to please everybody around you so study but don't forget to have fun at the same time and always be yourself no matter what happens. Outside of school I hang out with friends, spend time with family and I try to keep up with my homework and studying for school but in conclusion becoming a teenager is both good and bad.

My History With English

English has always been my favourite subject because I like learning new concepts and learning how to write poems and short stories. In past years I have gotten a chance to have great teachers like Mrs.Farrant who taught me different themes and along with  many concepts and poetry terms she's a great teacher I am so lucky  for having her as my grade 8 english teacher and for grade 9 I had Mrs.Yahn who taught me how to write a multi paragraph and taught me many more poetry terms and how to write poems she is also a great teacher. For both years I think I have gotten a B and this year I am aiming for an A. Two things I need to do to get an A this year is to focus more and ask questions if I don't understand how to do something. For grade 8 I read a novel called the The Outsider's and I did a big theme project about the book and in my opinion it's a good book. In past years I have learned many different poetry terms such as alliteration , allusion , personification , imagery ,  onomatopoeia , rhyme , simile , stanza and metaphor and also how to write various types of poems such as a limerick , rhyming , shape , haiku and color poem and I have also learned how to write 2 different types of paragraphs a multi paragraph and the normal 3 paragraph to start the paragraph you need a really good topic sentence which is also known as the hook of a paragraph which I feel I need to improve on. In grade 7 my teacher made the class write blog posts about various themes and topics so I have some some experience with blogger and writing blog posts. With my past experience from other grades I hope this english class is just as great as my previous english classes .
